From: Simply Hike

The Ultralight Convertible Carrier from LittleLife has everything that you will find with its predecessor, the Ultralight Carrier but it has even more features that truly make it everything you could ever need. Plus of course, it all folds up into a backpack, making it easier to take with you on long trips in the car or just when your little one wants to get down and stretch their legs for a bit.

Your baby will be extremely comfortable in this carrier with an anatomically-shaped seat plus a comfort bib that will keep their tiny face protected. When the bib gets dirty, it comes off easily and can be thrown in the wash for the next trip! Baby will also have lots to do with the easy-access toy loop that can easily attach to most toys. What this carrier doesn’t have that the non-convertible option offers is stirrups that come right with the carrier but the Ultralight Convertible does have stirrup attachments so you can clip them on when your child’s legs become too long to sit comfortably without them.

And you’ll be comfortable too with the padding that’s placed strategically in the back and shoulders so that you don’t feel any strain from the pack. And there’s also an anchor point so that you can feel safe placing your child inside it and the top handles will let you pick up this carrier and go – whether it’s unfolded into a carrier or all zipped up into a backpack! The LittleLife Ultralight Convertible Carrier is definitely a must-have for busy parents and children that always find themselves on the move!

From: Simply Hike

The Discoverer Child Carrier from LittleLife is a new design for 2009 and it comes with many features that claim to make it one of the best baby carriers of 2009. The carrier has a grey and green exterior that’s constructed from a lightweight fabric that’s easy to wipe clean and is also very durable. The inside is ergonomically shaped to fit to your child’s back and make the ride much more comfortable and there’s also a small bib that your child can rest their head on for nap time or you can wipe small spills up with after lunch time!

The parent’s hip belt turns and twists so it moves when you do and eliminates much of the digging sensation that sometimes occurs with other carriers when you’re moving around. There’s also a toy loop where you can attach small toys and it has top handles that are padded so you can grab it easily when you’re on the move. Perhaps the best feature of this baby carrier however is the fact that it has a kick-out stand so that you should be able to set baby down for a moment. It’s important to note however that LittleLife suggests a foot is kept on the kickstand at all times for safety reasons which might render the kickstand completely useless. There are also no pockets or zippers where you can stash things so you’ll need another bag for storage!

The Discoverer Child Carrier is a great carrier for when you have a short jaunt but with no storage it won’t be enough for longer trips and you also may not even want to consider the kickstand when thinking about buying it since you’ll need to keep one foot on it at all times anyway. That being said, the LittleLife Discoverer Child Carrier is a great carrier that comes at a great price and it comes from LittleLife so you know you’ll be buying quality!

From: Halfords

The Cybex 2.Go baby carrier is the same great baby carrier that Cybex introduced onto the market with the 1.Go baby carrier but it has so many new features and bonuses that it definitely puts its predecessor to shame!

Probably the best thing about the 2.Go baby carrier is the number of different positions that your child can comfortably sit in while you are on the go. From 3 months and on your child can sit in the front, either on the hip naturally or facing inwards, which is especially great when it’s baby’s nap time! After 6 months, you have many more options with baby’s position including inward front-facing, the mobility seating position, or sitting in the back. It’s important to note that this baby carrier cannot be used before 3 months of age so you’ll have to invest in a smaller carrier until that time or simply snuggle your baby during the first few weeks! But if you need even more options, this carrier also has 3 different length adjustments that will further tailor it to your baby’s specific needs!

And in addition to the many different ways that you can carry your baby, they’ll also be much more comfortable with a cushioned seat that has not only been approved by orthopedics but also conforms to your baby’s form, keeping them safe and in extra-cushy comfort! There’s also a head rest so that baby’s neck will always be supported should they fall asleep and for after a particularly messy nap or snack time, the whole thing can be thrown in the washing machine!

The Cybex 2.Go baby carrier is definitely a vast improvement on the already fine 1.Go baby carrier but it’s important to know that there is no real storage or pockets of any kind with this carrier so you will need to bring another bag to carry all of baby’s stuff!

The name really says it all! The Chicco Caddy Knapsack acts as a pack that will hold your child but also works as a caddy to tote everything around with you that you need. The child seat rests on a lightweight aluminum frame, which doubles as a stand when you need to sit the back, or the child down for a moment. Along the front of the carrier are heavy-duty padded shoulder straps that attach to the padded hip belt so that weight is distributed across the entire back and doesn’t solely rest on the parent’s shoulders. Although this does seem to be like sufficient weight distribution, it would be nice to see a wider hip belt and perhaps wider shoulder straps, especially on a pack that’s designed for extra-long treks such as this one. The shoulder strap does however have a handy cell phone pocket so it’s always within easy reach.

The Chicco Caddy Knapsack is suitable for children from about 6 months of age to until they are almost 2 years old, or weigh 15 kilograms. The height of the seat is easily adjustable so the carrier will grow along with your child and for when you just need to bring the carrier along with you, it folds up flat for easy transportation. The carrier also comes with a detachable pouch that can be carried on or off the carrier and is great for carrying toys, diapers, wipes, or extra snacks! Plus it has a sun canopy and a wind and rain cover so your baby will stay protected at all times!

The Chicco Caddy Knapsack is a great carrier, with the exception that some may find the strap system uncomfortable after carrying the child for a significant time.

LittleLife has proven themselves as one of the top manufacturers in baby carriers due to their ability to pick up on the needs of parents and babies and create carriers that are specifically designed to meet those needs. With their Traveller S2 child carrier, it’s no different, as LittleLife has recognized the need of parents to have a carrier that will provide for all of their comfort and convenience needs. This carrier focuses on being ultra-small and ultra-compact, so that not only is it smaller than other models while you’re actually carrying it but it also folds up more compactly and neatly too when you’re not using it and has its own case, so that your carrier will always be protected too!

Of course it has all the features that LittleLife always provides including an ergonomically shaped seat so that your baby will always ride in comfort and with no risk to their spine or back. For those times when things get messy with a drooling, sleeping baby, or just at snack time, there’s 2 face bibs included that are removable and washable for easy cleanup. There’s also a large front pocket that will hold all of your odds and ends while traveling and top handles that make it even easier to just pick up and go. It’s also been designed with an anchor-point system so you’ll never have to stabilize the pack while loading baby in or out and it even has loops for toys and stirrups! All of this for only £89.99 and it may just be one of the best priced carriers on the market as well. We found this one at SimplyHike.

This baby carrier from Deuter costs more than the previous two models of Kid Comfort that Deuter has created however, it’s built on the same concepts that won those former versions such popularity. The Kid Comfort III has included much more padding and an extra-breathable mesh fabric to provide for superior comfort on even the longest of treks and it also has extra bonus features such as kneepads, which protect baby from bangs and bumps as much as they protect the parent from having small knees into their back, a pillow that sits high where baby needs it and turns the Kid Comfort into an ultra-comfortable napping place and a removable and washable bib, which will be even more appreciated after snack time! It comes included with a sun canopy, which when folded back reveals the five-point safety harness that will keep baby as safe as they are comfortable. The aluminum frame will provide all of the strength and durability that you will need, not only as you make your way through those treacherous paths, but also as you use it through the years as baby grows – the Deuter Kid Comfort III can be worn well into the toddler years!

The Jolly Comfort child carrier from Vaude is at the top of the line in baby carriers but its price still remains reasonable, considering all that you are going to get out of this carrier.

Made especially for parents that like to carry their little one just about everywhere, and most often on very long treks, the Jolly Comfort has all you could ask for in safety, comfort, and durability. Children can sit in it from the time they can support their head very well on their own, about 6 months, until they are 20 kilograms, which is well into the late toddler years. It has been TUV tested to ensure that it goes above and beyond in safety standards and the tough rip stop polyester fabric not only keeps the little one safe and snug but will also stand up to anything, making sure that your baby carrier will last for all the years that you are able to use it!

The hip belt and waist belt are padded so that you will always remain in comfort as well and the child’s seat is adjustable so that baby will always ride in comfort too! There are two large pockets to hold all your odds and ends and a massive storage compartment at the bottom to hold larger items, such as changing pads or extra clothing. The top handles not only make it easy to pick up and go but are also padded, adding to the comfort and the carrier also comes with a rain/sun cover.

If you really need to be picky and find something wrong with the Vaude Jolly Comfort Child Carrier, it may be that it’s only available in Royal Blue but it’s a very stylish colour and model and for the price of £129.99, definitely has way more pros than it does cons.

LittleLife is a leading name in child carriers and this innovative Traveller Child Carrier is just one example why. This child carrier is made especially for parents who like to take their little ones on long hikes, or simply bustling around town on long afternoon errands and who want to keep both themselves and their little tyke as comfortable as possible.

Unlike all of the padding that is usually thrown onto child carriers to make it ‘more comfortable’ and often actually just becomes worn and hot, the Traveller Child Carrier is actually built with a shorter design, making it more compact and easier to tote around while keeping it a lighter weight as well! The hip belt and chest straps are still padded for your own comfort while the back system, which is part of the anatomically-constructed seat, is also padded so baby stays comfortable too.

The grab handles at the top make it easy to pick it up and go and the trim, which is done in reflective piping, will make it safer as you’ll be more visible to others. The LittleLife Traveller Child Carrier does only have one pocket, and that is the mesh pocket on the front, and it is only available in this grey colour. It’s available for £89.99.

The smart people at Baby Bjorn have expanded on their line vastly since coming out with the Original Baby Bjorn and with every step, they have been making strides to make baby carriers more comfortable and secure for both parents and child!

They have done exactly that with the Synergy Carrier, which has all kinds of features including a zip-out option, so parents just have to unzip the front panel and baby lifts easily out eliminating the need to wake them when they’re sleeping, and there’s a buckle that slides so that the carrier can be easily adjusted as the baby grows. However, this buckle along with some others found on the carrier, are sometimes difficult to maneuver on one’s own so you may need an extra hand around!

Always the health-conscious, Baby Bjorn has also ensured that the leg and arm holes for baby are positioned just right so that baby is not only more comfortable but is also making sure that they are safe and secure while in the carrier. The carrier is also made from a mesh, breathable material so that neither you or the baby will become overheated during your trek.

The carrier can be worn inward or outward facing and it even has a special position so that moms can breastfeed discreetly! The Synergy is equipped to hold babies from 8 to 26 pounds, which means that you can place babies in it for approximately their entire first year and that’s a good thing, considering that this product is usually at the higher end of the price range.

Those who want all the conveniences of the ‘new and improved’ Deuter Kid Comfort II may find that they will get just as much value for significantly less money with the first model – the Deuter Kid Comfort I.
At first it’s difficult to tell the difference between these two models as they both have a carrying capacity of 21 kilograms, are both back carriers and both have padded strap and hip belts.
What the Deuter Kid Comfort I has its follower does not is the added Deuter Rain and Sun Cover, which on its own holds a value of £20.00 – however, the latter model does have side openings, which make it easier to load and unhold a child or infant.

The price difference is remarkable however between the two products, with the Deuter Kid Comfort II costing a pricely £120 while the Comfort I only costs £89.99! The added feature of side loading may not be worth the additional £30 for those who just want the basic features, and it also should to be taken into consideration that the Comfort II does not come with the sun and rain cover.

The Deuter Kid Comfort I is available in fire (red), or ash (black and grey.)
