The carrier has a grey and green exterior that’s constructed from a lightweight fabric that’s easy to wipe clean and is also very durable. The inside is ergonomically shaped to fit to your child’s back and make the ride much more comfortable and there’s also a small bib that your child can rest their head on for nap time or you can wipe small spills up with after lunch time! 

The parent’s hip belt turns and twists so it moves when you do and eliminates much of the digging sensation that sometimes occurs with other carriers when you’re moving around. There’s also a toy loop where you can attach small toys and it has top handles that are padded so you can grab it easily when you’re on the move. Perhaps the best feature of this baby carrier however is the fact that it has a kick-out stand so that you should be able to set baby down for a moment. It’s important to note however that LittleLife suggests a foot is kept on the kickstand at all times for safety reasons which might render the kickstand completely useless. There are also no pockets or zippers where you can stash things so you’ll need another bag for storage! 

The Discoverer Child Carrier is a great carrier for when you have a short jaunt but with no storage it won’t be enough for longer trips and you also may not even want to consider the kickstand when thinking about buying it since you’ll need to keep one foot on it at all times anyway. That being said, the LittleLife Discoverer Child Carrier is a great carrier that comes at a great price and it comes from LittleLife so you know you’ll be buying quality!

This baby carrier from Deuter costs more than the previous two models of Kid Comfort that Deuter has created however, it’s built on the same concepts that won those former versions such popularity. The Kid Comfort III has included much more padding and an extra-breathable mesh fabric to provide for superior comfort on even the longest of treks and it also has extra bonus features such as kneepads, which protect baby from bangs and bumps as much as they protect the parent from having small knees into their back, a pillow that sits high where baby needs it and turns the Kid Comfort into an ultra-comfortable napping place and a removable and washable bib, which will be even more appreciated after snack time! It comes included with a sun canopy, which when folded back reveals the five-point safety harness that will keep baby as safe as they are comfortable. The aluminum frame will provide all of the strength and durability that you will need, not only as you make your way through those treacherous paths, but also as you use it through the years as baby grows – the Deuter Kid Comfort III can be worn well into the toddler years!

The price difference is remarkable however between the two products, with the Deuter Kid Comfort II costing a pricely £120 while the Comfort I only costs £89.99! The added feature of side loading may not be worth the additional £30 for those who just want the basic features, and it also should to be taken into consideration that the Comfort II does not come with the sun and rain cover.

The child also sits comfortably and securely in the seat with a bucket seat and and sturdy sides. The stirrups will cup baby’s feet to not only provide a better fit but also to provide better leg circulation. When it gets too sunny, putting the sunshade up will also keep baby protected and comfortable. The Sherpani Rumba also has a frame so that it will sit if you need to set it down for a minute or two. The Rumba definitely has just about every convenience you could ask for, even if it means forfeiting some shoulder comfort on long hikes, but you’ll also pay the price for them as the Sherpani Rumba costs £165.00.

Although you can put anything inside of it, it does look really massive to carry around and added to the additional weight of the child and the carrier itself, it could become a real pain to drag around. And for £30.00, it’s an accessory that will come at a price.

There is only one small ring for small toys and keys to be clipped to, and a small pocket on the front that may hold a binkie but, not much more. It’s probably better for longer walks than other carriers of the same type simply because the padding makes it much more comfortable for everyone. However, there’s not a lot of storage compartments so if you’ll be gone for too long, you may also have to haul around a nappie bag!
